i always thought "hate" for someone is too... powerful. for them, i mean. if i knew someone hated me, or had enough care to talk shit behind my back, it would make me smile, because that means i'm getting credit. but the people i dislike, well, i just can't be fucked with them. they're useless, mediocre examples of mankind and -- to be frank -- i'd rather not have them dip a toe in my life, or anyone else's.

i don't know who i like. i don't want to like anyone. the first step to that is "admitting" i don't like anyone. he's out of my league anyways. but yeah, i have no clue, sorry.

i was tearing up in music class, ohmygod. my substitute teacher is the sweetest, calmest old man ever, and he sang a folksong about growing up in nova scotia. then he told us how his son was expecting a baby boy. it just ... you could tell he's ready to let go of life when it happens, and the fact the cycle's continuing and he's soon to have grandchildren. like, something about that is so sad, yet courageous.
