honestly i don't understand the trend that goes about protecting it so much. kids these days seem to find themselves so deep and intellectual just by saying "love is love!" but they'll:
a) say "no homo!"
b) make gay jokes
c) use "faggot" and "gay" as insults
d) constantly defend their own sexuality
like, seriously, stop defending something half-heartedly just because tumblr is all pro-homo. if someone doesn't like gay people, that's up to them, but don't fucking tell them off for having an opinion on it. maybe they have a good reason for being against it, aside from following some noh8 trend.
also, religion.
why is it that atheists are most discriminated? in all respects, most other religions are appalling with their histories, yet an atheist comes along and everyone directs their scorn and troubles to that individual.
atheists have never:
a) sacrificed an animal
b) caused a war/genocide
c) dictated matrimony
d) took advantage of altar boys
e) played favourites.
once, i said i didn't believe in god and someone told me, "fuck off, i hope you rot in hell". is that was catholicism teaches people? to be a group of haughty elitists that reject the beliefs of everyone else in favour of a god they find supreme? christians discriminate a lot of other religions. they find ideas like energy reincarnation and a blue cow god preposterous, yet they believe in a man/woman who invents day and night two days before he/she invents the sun! this god who takes lives and punishes for no reason, they love so much, and when someone questions his acts, they say "GOD WORKS IN STRANGE AND MYSTERIOUS WAYS!"
